Moore’s Void
Set in a non-specified future, Moores Void finds Celest Chong’s “Parmoona Cash” seeking an opportunity to see her son a final time. Her dark, dramatic clothing puts her in direct contrast with the warm and inviting office, and sets her apart from Barry Flatman’s friendly “Doctor Marcus.” The overall aesthetic also serves to suggest a moment in fashion that is not recognizable as our own, but that is also not too unfamiliar as to be unrecognizable. The oddly old fashioned khakis and cardigan combination worn by Flatman serves a similar purpose, further separating him from his scene partner, and creating a look of being more trustworthy than he might be.
